Received notification this morning that the song, Rusty Tracks is being released on NBT Records, Ride The Train Series, compilation CD, NBT #954 - Ride The Train - Vol. #23, immediately. Hey ya'll - Just a quick note to let ya' know The Carolina Rails had out first practice in the new "Depot" Studio/Practice room yesterday. Still not 100% finished but it's in operation. Great lighting and plenty of room to spare.

The Carolina Rails would like to extend a warm welcome to our newest member, Freddie Smith. Freddie will be playing prmiary pedal-stompin' electric guitar. This gives The Rails, a very diverse and talented trio of six string guitars to provide both acoustic and electric lead and harmonic parts which will increase the dynamics of the band considerably.

Hey ya'll - Just a quick note to let you know that more progress is being made on the Construction of the "Depot" for The Carolina Rails. Have added additional lighting and then some so we can say we got it right the first time! Everything is now pre-wired and designed for 'plenty of juice to spare.' Have got a few new pictures posted for fun while the construction is in progress. In the end, it's gonna' make for a nice atmosphere for music and recording. All the best! Hey ya'll. Happy New Year 2008! Just a few lines to give you an update events. Band progress is coming along steadily with a lot of new material in the works. Tommy Phillips will be joining us as his schedule permits on Pedal Steel. His music ability is extremely complementary to the overall complete sound. Work on the new studio/practice room is making quick progress down in the 'bunker.' It's gonna be a large room with plenty of room for us to work, and, will provide a nice area suitable for recording as well since it has sound deadening qualities in the design from the beginning. Should start hanging drywall today. All the best! David and The Carolina Rails.
